KIDNEY STONES AND BANANA STEM JUICE

Hi All... Good day!!!

Recently, a friend of mine complained of a severe pain near his lower back and abdomen.  We advised him to visit a doctor.  The doctor, after a brief examination, confirmed the presence of Kidney stones.  The doctor also prescribed him a list of tablets(capsules to be more specific) to dissolve them.  However, my friend was a little hesitant to swallow those pills.  Instead, he searched for some natural remedies and zeroed it on STEM BANANA JUICE.  Indians, having understood its significance, have always included them in their diet since ages. But, how to prepare this juice???

INGREDIENTS:

  • STEM BANANA 1/2 (MEDIUM SIZE)
  • SOUR CURD 2 TEASPOONS
  • SALT AND WATER (AS REQUIRED)
  • PEPPER(OPTIONAL)

METHOD:

  • CUT THE STEM INTO SMALL PIECES AND IMMERSE THEM IN THE BUTTER MILK TO AVOID COLOR CHANGE.
  • GRIND THE PIECES WITH CURD AND SALT.
  • ADD MORE WATER AND FILTER IT.

To permanently avoid kidney stones, include stem banana to your diet and drink plenty of water regularly.

That's all for now.. will keep you all posted :)

Vinayagar Chathurthi!!- Know your god's history!!

Vinayagar Chathurthi is regarded as one of the most auspicious days for most of the Hindus.  LordVinayaka is to whom the first prayers are offered by the Hindus.  According to the Hindu mythology, Lord Vinayaka is considered to be the foremost, and they invoke his blessings before all their rituals.  Therefore, it is essential for us to know who is lord Ganesha and his origin.

  • One day,  Parvathi, the wife of Lord Shiva was about to take bath, but, none of her attendants were there to guard the room.  So, she created a human figure from unguent and balm.
  • She used all her supernatural powers to give life to the figure. She then requested the human figure to guard the room while she takes bath.
  • While she was taking bath, Lord Shiva reached home after a long meditation and was shocked to see a boy figure guarding his place.  When Lord Shiva tried to enter his place, he was stopped by the boy figure.
  •  On seeing the boy's act, Lord Shiva lost his cool and severed the boy's head.  Later, he realized that the boy was his wife Parvathi's creation.
  •  In order to avoid conflict with his wife Lord Parvathi, he ordered his attendants to bring a head for the boy and also insisted to bring the head of the first creature they see while searching.
  • Fortunately/Unfortunately, they attendants saw an elephant first!!!  So, as per their master's instructions, they severed the head of that elephant and brought it to Lord Shiva.
  • Lord Shiva planted the elephant head on the boy's neck and gave back life to him.
  • Meanwhile, Lord Parvathi came back after taking bath and was surprised with the unusual figure of a human body and elephant head.  She questioned lord Shiva who the guy was("Pillai yaaru" in tamil).  Lord Shiva explained the whole thing to Parvathi and named the boy as "Pillai yar".
  •  This elephant headed god was then appreciated for his efforts and was then appointed as the chief attendant of Lord Shiva.  This is the history of Lord Vinayaka.
HAPPY VINAYAKAR CHATHURTHI.. WILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED :)

Queensland Amusement Park, Chennai

Good day!!  It has been days since my last post... had to quit blogging for personal reasons.  But now AM BACK!!!  This time, I am willing to share with you all the endless fun we had in QUEENS LAND AMUSEMENT PARK, CHENNAI.

It all started at KRM center of HP at 8AM Saturday morning... Thanks to the most sophisticated bus facility arranged... we were made to wait until 10 AM at the same place :).  Finally we reached Queens land only at 12 noon, thanks to the ever famous traffic and Chitra( a colleague who always tries to be on time but often misses out by a whisker... lol!!).

Our first ride was Free fall- the first thing that greets you in Queens land.  This ride is not for people who has Acrophobia.  Yup!!  The guests will me made to sit along the two sides of the tower with 30 members on each side and will be dropped from over 90 m.  We enjoyed this ride very much.. thanks to Sudhakar's heroics... he was the brightest spot of this trip.  The way he convinced the entire team to visit this theme park was mind blogging(please do not ask me how many rides he rode there...!!!).

The next ride was a little special especially if you are a kid or a girl.. but if you are a hard core guy, you have to create your own fun there.. yes, its Himalayan water ride.  You will be teamed up with four other guys and will be made to sit on a balloon boat that sails though rough waters.  If you are here with your family, you will enjoy to the core with the kids, else if you are a bachelor without an ideal company(???), do not bother!!

The next few rides tested our nerves... of-course!! not without a few pukes..courtesy Radha. Centrox was the really cool and made all of us to scream!! Again tonnes of thanks to Sudhakar for looking after all our bags.  Pirata Ship was the next one, but this one didn't scare us like we all expected.

Then came the most thrilling rides of all, yup the Roller-Coaster!!  It was simply awesome..there are two steep drops that makes you shout like hell.  With the same thrill, we completed the Octopus ride that spins you in the air!!

oops!! its already 2PM now.. and its time for some lunch!!  Thankfully it was a Saturday and hence most of my non-vegetarian friends will turn vegetarians today.  Had a good fried rice with some chips, pepsi and a lot of chat.  We managed to finish our lunch by 2:40 PM and headed towards American Wave Pool!!!.  Artificial waves are generated to give you a feel of a live beach.  We all enjoyed here to the core.  Again, thanks to Sudhakar, who finally managed to join with us here.  Straight from the wave pool, we entered the swimming pool and enjoyed a few water games there.

Now its almost 4:30 PM, all of us were very tired, yet, we managed to cover the remaining rides before 6PM.   In the process, we covered Tora Tora, Alphine Blitz and a few others.

Let us now see few of the exotic photos that makes this trip even more memorable
Thanks a lot Bala sir!!
